Town Targeting Brentford Winger Judge
Friday, 11th Jan 2019 10:43

Town are targeting Brentford’s Republic of Ireland winger Alan Judge.

The Sun reported earlier this morning that the Blues are showing strong interest in the 30-year-old and TWTD understands there is substance to the story but with the potential move in its early stages.

Judge, who could be available at a cut-price fee with his Bees contract up in the summer, suffered a broken leg at Portman Road in April 2016, an injury which kept him out of first-team action until January 2018.

This season, the former Blackburn, Plymouth (loan) and Notts County man has made seven starts and 17 sub appearances for the Bees, scoring twice.

Dubliner Judge previously came close to joining the Blues from the Magpies in the summer of 2013, however, he instead returned to Blackburn, where he had previously been a youth player, for a second spell.

Town have already brought in four players since the January transfer window opened with James Collins set to become the fifth with the free agent 35-year-old central defender’s signing set to be announced later today.

I remember him being linked years ago. We missed out on having Judge and Drury at the time. Tabloids would have loved it.

PL and ME are working hard to bring in affordable experience that may, just may be enough to keep us in this division.
If that happens we'll need a Lambert statue as well as The Beat this summer.
It's the hope that kills you I know but I still reckon we're going to do it.
COYB.

Brave of him to come back to the place where he had that injury. Shows courage. Good player and hope this lands.

You have to give Lamby credit---he is trying to repair the damage Paul Wurst did in 3 months in one week---just love him!

We all know tomorrow is crucial---lets do this TOGETHER!!

Wouldn't believe the story if it was just the Sun reporting it, but if TWTD see some truth in it then let's get this done!

First real bit of quality we've been linked with and would happily take this! PL can attract these kind of players and if we do go down, I still believe because of his influence, we will still be able to attract good quality players.

At least people cant say ME is not backing Lambert, Even if we do go down you cant say that Lambert did not have a go.

One point Paul did say you cant bring in 8 new players and expect it to work, fingers crossed he proves himself wrong (Tongue in cheek)

I think he should put all the new lads in on Saturday, its time to sink or swim we don't have enough games for them to get to know each other.

This will probably get down voted for pessimism. But I really makes me nervous that these links get out before signing - we are a typical guzumping target these days.
